Timeline

How long before our wedding should we start our dancing lessons?
Ideally you should begin your lessons between 6 to 7 weeks before your wedding. If you have less time we will endeavour to arrange lessons to suit the shorter timescale.

When should we contact you to book our dance lessons?
Try and contact us at least 4 weeks before you would like your dance lessons to start. This will give us plenty of time to ensure we have a wedding dance teacher available to you. Again, if you have less time we will endeavour to arrange lessons to suit the shorter timescale.

About your wedding dance lesson package

How much is each wedding dance lesson?
A 1 hour Trial Lesson is £60.00. Our 2 hour package is £110.00. If you book 3 or more hours then the lessons work out at £50.00/hour.

How long is each dance lesson?
Lessons are normally between 1 and 2 hours long. A five hour package is normally arranged over 3 sessions (2 x 1.5 hour lessons and 1 x 2 hour lesson), ideally with lessons spaced apart by at least a week to allow plenty of time for practice inbetween. Over 2 hours in one lesson and you're going to get a little tired as dancing can be pretty energetic.

How many wedding dance lessons will we need?
To learn a full routine we have found that the optimum amount of time is 5 hours, as we have found that it takes this long to create the perfect routine. However, you may have as few or as many hours as you like. Have a look at our wedding dance lesson packages. If you have less than 5 hours of lessons you are unlikely to be able to complete a whole routine though.

How to book

How do we book?
Please take a look at our First Dance UK Booking page. You will need to complete our secure online booking form. On completing the form you will be given a secure login to our booking system to fill out the rest of the information we require to organise your lessons. You will be contacted by phone and/or email through each of the stages of the booking process.

How to pay

How and when do we pay for our dance lessons?
A deposit is required after you complete your booking form. The final balance is then due prior to you starting your lessons. You will automatically receive an invoice for the final amount by email. You'll receive a receipt by email each time you make a payment. You can pay over the telephone by credit/debit card, online by PayPal or BACS, or by cheque.

Your actual first dance lessons

Where are the dance lessons held?
The lessons are held in the comfort of your own home. We travel to you!

How much space do we need?
If you can stand an arm's length apart and go around in a circle, you have enough room. More room is obviously beneficial though. In good weather you can even dance outside if you like!

What if we don't have enough room?
If you have friends or family nearby we can hold the lessons there (or even an office meeting room, school/community hall, gym/dance studio). We are happy to hold the lessons anywhere suitable. In some areas our dance teachers do have access to dance studios. If this may be of interest to you please check out our studios map for some of these locations. If you're interested in going to a studio (for an additional cost) please indicate this when you complete our booking form.

When are the dance lessons held?
Lessons are normally held in the evenings and at weekends, as this seems to be most convenient for our couples. Daytime is naturally also not a problem.

Is there a wedding dance teacher near me?
Yes, more than likely. We have wedding dance teachers based throughout the UK.

What do we have to wear?
Anything comfortable that doesn't restrict your movement. Ideally the bride will be able to wear shoes similar to her wedding shoes for at least one of the latter lessons.

We have never danced together before / We aren't very confident / We both have two left feet. Can you help us?
Absolutely! Our choreographers are experienced working with couples who have no dance experience at
all. They will happily guide you through every step until you are completely comfortable, and have a routine that suits you and your wants & capabilities.
